History
The purpose of this part of the
website is to try and look into the history of the car, hopefully if
there is enough following on this website, I may be able to find new
information from people like you. When I bought Snoopy there were
quite a few items of paperwork that came with the car, some of these
are of particular interest. |

This is the original handwritten
receipt from when Snoopy was first bought from the dealers. The
dealer was the ALEXANDER MOTOR COMPANY, based on London Road, in
Newcastle. The receipt shows a payment of £1269.00, which was paid
by cheque. |

This item is the original order
form from when the car was first bought. There is a lot of
information on this sheet, including details of optional extras that
were fitted, the name and address of the very first owner, the cost
of road tax, number plates and delivery. The total cost of the car
was £1530.72 and was bought by a Mrs Lily May Price. Snoopy was
fitted with Face Level Ventilation, and had additional undersealing.
Snoopy was supplied in an Antique Gold colour and the number plate
PFM975P which is still there today. |

This item is the original Log Book
that Mrs Price owned. It shows the original chassis and engine
numbers, and shows that Snoopy was fitted with a 998cc engine. I
will at some point check these numbers to ensure that the original
engine is still in place. |

Also included with Snoopy was the
original Austin Morris Service book. The two pictures show the cover
and the last official service that Snoopy had, which was at 19704
miles, and was dated 22nd May 1990, just after Snoopy's 14th
birthday !!! |
